January DT Blog Hop
Welcome to our first Design Team Blog Hop of the year!

New this month I have Wintertime Boy which has been living in my sketchbook for a long time waiting to be inked! I think he is so way cute! Lucy's Cupcale is a design originally available as a rubber stamp design and now you can find it as a digi.

2013 Winter Design Team call!
Looking for some experienced and talented designers to join our current fabulous Design Team for 2013 Winter Season!
Card Designers who are experienced in coloring, great layouts and active in blogging.
The call will be open until October 31st. The guest designers will have the chance to play with my latest digi designs for a term of 3 months (with the possibility for extension)
DT Term from January 2013 to March 2013
Requirements:
- Have a blog & be an active blogger
- Able to commit to a 3-month term.
- Create 3 monthly projects or cards using the Whimsy and Stars Studio digi designs. Our DT is a flexible one, you can post your 3 projects with flexibilty.
- Share it with your group of friends. Enter your cards in challenges, hops and other avenues to promote Whimsy and Stars. Post your card on the Splitcoaststampers Gallery, Facebook, Crafters Digital Art Center or any other stamping community forums.
- Have the ability to take good photography with good lighting and styling.
Benefits:
- You will receive the latest released digi designs from the Whimsy and Stars Studio store.
- Your name and blog will be posted and promoted on the Whimsy and Stars blog and Facebook and posts will be also promoted on Twitter.

A little peek to my latest illustration
So happy Fall is finally here!
This week I have been spending some fabulous time working on new artwork. There is something magical by been surrounded by brushes, paints and markers, it brings a sense of renewal and inspiration! I love it!
Here is a tiny peek into my latest illustration (still in the works). I hope to have it ready soon so I can share it with you.
Here in Florida we don't see the trees changing their leaves into the glorious Fall palette. Still, I do love driving around town and looking at all of the pumpkins on the porches, Fall decor everywhere....each Sunday I love looking at our Church's front lawn (on a little hill) covered by pumpkins!

Amelie to the Beach by Guest Designer Paula-Kay
A warm hello from Sunny Florida!
Many good things are happening here at the studio. I'm getting ready for new designs coming next month and more fun events!
You all have seen the gorgeous collection of work of our Design Team, and in the upcoming months I will be sharing not only the latest works of my DT but the creations of special Guest Designers.

I am honored that Mabelle invited me to be a Guest Designer for her Whimsy and Stars Studio and to make a project with her new digi design Amelie to the Beach.

I made a summer card using Hip Hop patterned cardstock by Red Rubber Designs for the background. The image is printed and then cut out using Spellbinder's Labels Eight and the star (sun) from Spellbinder's Scalloped Edge Frame.
I created sand for her bucket, shovel and the beach using Flower Soft Toffee. Then I added buttons with Scrappers' Floss for accent.

Thank you, Mabelle, for asking me to create with your cute image of Amelie to the Beach. It was so much fun to color and design a card using this image.

My tiny garden corner
One of the happiest little corners of my home…
There are two main reasons why I love my back porch so much:
- because each afternoon I can see glorious sunsets
- because is were I have started a tiny lovely potted garden.
I started seedlings for herbs, lavender and four o'clocks too. I'm hoping they do well so I can move them to a larger sunny spot. I also found some cute things to decorate my garden like that watering can and the dragonfly plant stake! It surely is a happy place to spend the afternoons!
I have dreams for my tiny garden and what will become one day. In the future I see beautiful raised garden beds filled with veggies and flower gardens welcoming butterflies and dragonflies...
