I received several emails asking me about what I use to color and draw my illos….
Here it is, the art supplies (my toys) that I use on a daily basis for my illustrations. (Yes, I do draw and color each day, I just love it)
I find the Copic Marker Hand Color Chart extremely helpful when coloring my illustrations, I really don’t have to guess the color shades because I can just glance at them quickly. Now that I have a standard Copics set, I’m adding more copics markers as I need them. Mostly in families of 3 markers of the same color: one light, one medium and one dark of the same color.
I sketch on a daily basis and after I have a doodle that I just love then I add ink using my technical pens. After that is the scanning and working on Photoshop with the line art.
I hope you find this posting helpful.
Hugs

I'm so happy to finally share with you my NEW rubber stamp designs (3 sets) available now from the The Angel Company brand new Inspiration Book and Catalog!

MoRe GReAt NeWs! Now the catalog and the TAC "Shop Now" store have a section (indexed) labeled Mabelle R.O rubberstamp designs which makes it so easy to find them! How cool is that?!!! Thank you TAC :)

Hello Whimsy Ones! Summer has been so wonderful so far, our family have enjoyed weekend trips to the beach, BBQs, visits to the Art Museum, lots of smoothies, ice creams, giggles and family time.
Here is one of my latest projects. This little box was my gifty for the Prop Swap at The Angel Company annual convention.
For this project I used the Pot Rockz Paper Collection (from The Angel Company) and other cute embellishments like silk flowers, buttons and lots of ribbons. I filled the box with a little gift book about the Garden of Friendship and lots of Hershey kisses. Cute, ha?
Have a great week!

The Winter Retreat hosted by The Angel Company was inspiring and a time to recharge my creative spirit. Not only San Antonio, Texas was fabulous, but the fellowship with dear artsy friends made everything truly unforgettable. We created gorgeous projects, laughed a lot, learned about abundance & gratitude and receive great inspiration.
The photos above are some of the projects designed by the talented group of designers of The Angel Co., they brought lots of precious projects for us to work on and shared with us great ways to create one-a-kind keepsakes.
Here is a photo of one of our outings at Riverwalk, we had lunch at Casa Rio which is a delicious mexican restaurant.

Thank you to all my dear "angel" friends from The Angel Co. for such fun time, I love ya, girlie's!
Have a fabulous weekend.

A couple of weeks ago I had the chance to work on this altered journal which I'm taking to the "Escape" artsy retreat hosted by The Angel Company in San Antonio, Texas. I'll be flying to Texas next week (January 9-12) for a refreshing and creative time. A time to learn and recharge. I can't wait to hang out with my artsy/incredibly talented "angel" friends.
For this journal I used the Pop Rockz Paper Collection from The Angel Co. which includes patterned cardstock paper, tags and sticker letters. For the cover I used stamp set: Spring Dream from The Angel Company. I stitched my pages and paper using my sewing machine and inside the journal I attached two envelopes to hold extra papers and notes. Some of the embellishments I used were the Cupcake Paper Posies and lots of polka-dotted and gingham black and white ribbon.
Great News!
The brand NEW The Angel Company Spring Inspiration Book & Catalogue is here! Its filled with precious papers, stamps and embellishments and much more! There are so many things I already added to my wish list!!
It also includes some of the stamps and paper collections I've designed exclusively for TAC. To preview & order them visit my "Featured Products" section in my T-A-C store:

Here is another photo of my journal: (I just LOVE the bright colors along with the polka dot ribbon!!)
Have a wonderful week!

Autumn Craftiness! Such cuteness :)
This past Saturday I had the joy of spending the day with my friends Joy, Becky and Misty which were visiting the Orlando, Florida area for a crafty retreat. I was so thrilled to have received such special invitation and I had such a fantastic time with these super talented group of ladies. Each one of us brought a project to share with each other and it was so great to each other talents in action. As you can see from the photos above these are just one of the adorable projects we worked on....total cuteness!

I enjoyed so much painting these...and of course adding a little touch of glitter to each one! :)
Now I have to paint some more to keep at our home :)

This weekend was my daughter's 9th bday party and instead of giving the usual "goodie bags" this year I thought of giving something a bit different.
So I took some Reeses candy bars (her fav chocolate bar) and I wrapped them with of some patterned paper I printed in the computer. Then I made a little tag with her photo (jumping in the trampouline) with a little verse saying "thank you". It was a great craft to share with my little ones and family!
After the party, she walked around the room giving the little gifts to all the guests. She looked so happy! and everyone love it!
Happy Birthday, sweet "Bibi"

Yesterday I took a class at my local scrapbook store and it was so much fun! I really want it to see how they make those cute paper bag albums. The class included all the materials and they pre-selected all the papers and embellishments. The only thing I need to add are the photos. The project was very simple and I was so glad to had the chance to learn how to make them. Next time I make them, I will add my own "flair" to them...more ribbons, black and white photos, collages, buttons...
As planned, I had a wonderful Birthday weekend! I ate lots of desserts and spend quality time with my family. It's nice to be able to relax and really enjoy the moment.

This past weekend I started working with Sculpey clay and one of my projects was this Valentine Beaded pin. I'm also with hopes I can participate in Loobylu's Month of Softies so I started working on a clay doll...I'll keep you posted...
I also so excited to be part of Craftsquad! Thank you Yvonne & Leslie for such cool idea!
Happy Birthday, sweet Jes! xoxo

Here is my first fabric craft, a flower pin. After watching "Embellish This" show I got really inspired (and brave, I guess) to try something totally new!
I figured I can probably stitch a single line in the sewing machine and use a hot glue gun. My little daughter and I had a blast this past weekend making these cute pins! The blue flower matched perfectly with my blue & lime striped sweater! Funny, a lady at my office asked me if I knitted the sweater also...I laughed! I wish...
What you think? (click to see them larger)

I made this little project for the "Seasonal Crafty Lunch" for the girls at my office. For the top of the box and the magnet I used rubberstamps from The Angel Company.
I made little kits for everyone and we crafted together for one hour! How fun! Each lady decorated their box differently using different stamp designs.
