Announcing Whimsy and Stars Studio'
Call for Guest Designers

Looking for some experienced, whimsy-inspired paper crafting designers to be part of the very first-ever Whimsy and Stars Studio Design Call!

Brand New Cheery Digis are coming soon and I need some extra helpers to get the word out!

The call will be open until February 20th. The guest designers will have the chance to play with my digi designs for the next 3 months (with the possibility for extension).

**International applicants are welcome!!**

Requirements:

1. Have a blog & be an active blogger
2. Able to commit to a 3-month term.
3. Create a weekly project or card using the Whimsy and Stars Studio digi designs you will receive.
4. The Digi designs should be the focal point of your designed project.
5. Post your weekly project/card on your blog.
6. Share it with your group of friends. If possible, post your card on the Splitcoaststampers Gallery, Facebook, Crafters Digital Art Center or any other stamping community forums.
7. Have the ability to take good photography with good lighting.
8. Add the Whimsy and Stars Studio blinkie to your blog.
9. Have close communication with me :) via e-mail.

Benefits:

1. You will receive 4 digi designs of your choice from the Whimsy and Stars Studio store.
2. Your name and blog will be posted and promoted on the Whimsy and Stars blog and Facebook and posts will be also promoted on Twitter.
3. You will also receive a limited-edition, exclusive guest designer digi by Mabelle R.O.
4. You will received a Whimsy and Stars Studio Guest Designer badge for your blog.
5. You will also receive special sneak peeks at new digi releases before its announce to the public.

• Send me an email with some information about you (Your Full name. things you love, things that are important to you, anything you would like to share with me about you as a person)

• Designers who are chosen to be on the team will be notified via email no later than February 25, 2011.

Thank you so much for everyone's emails, calls, texts and postings! I'm forever grateful for all of your precious support... truly, it has been a blessing. I believe our art community totally ROCKS!!!

I'm grateful (happy too) to say that the fellow designer who posted the incorrect information has kindly contact me and sent me an email expressing how badly she feels about the misunderstanding. She has also deleted her tweets and her blog posting. THANK YOU !!

I consider this all settled and if there is any positive outcome from all this is how amazing is our art community and how we support and educate each other.

I have learned how important it is to know about copyright laws and getting as much information as possible so we can protect our art and also been able to provide answers when there are questions.

I'm terribly shocked and hurt by a recent post from a fellow designer saying I directly used her snail design concept to create my little turtle illustration.

As you all know I'm one of the biggest supporters and active promoters of copyright protection. I don't copy other fellow designers and illustrators work not I stand for that ether. I'm a very solid and ethical person which believes in the power of creativity and how art is a vehicle for touching lives. In the past I have addressed the issue of copyright infrigment and how I feel about it.

The fact is that I haven't seen her snail illustration until today when she posted it on her blog and she feels I used her idea because my turtle is also carrying a cupcake :(

The awful thing is that she posted my name, my blog link, my Facebook page and my Twitter account on her blog and all over Twitter without even contacting me first, nor letting me know her concerns. This hurts my heart so bad. How can a fellow designer (which I also have follow her Tweets for a while now) can post something so defamatory and without even contacting me first?

This is the first time someone says something so terrible like this about my work, and there are no words to express how much it hurts. Its completely unfounded and without merit.

For those of you who are would like additional information on this matter, please email me privately. I hate to use this as a negative platform.

I have sent a comment to her blog with a heartfelt message and I'm hoping she will post it.
