Happy Fall & Great News!

 

BRAND NEW! Fall Harvest stamp set ...........................................

Wow! It feels like Summer totally flew by and here it is Fall already. Isn't the arrival of Fall exciting?!! I'm so looking forward to this new season and its fun-filled days...especially all the Fall Festivals, hay rides and campfires...let's not forget the gathering of friends and family!

I love Fall and all of the special holidays, great gatherings and lots of yummy feasts. Warm colors...oranges, olives, red, plums and yellows....So many things to look forward to.

I have been working on several illustration projects this Summer and finally can share with you some of the news....

Here is a little update to let you all know what's new here at Whimsy and Stars Studio. First, I have great and exciting news....the brand new Fall Supplement of The Angel Company includes 4 of my brand new stamp sets! How awesome is that?! Plus, now I also have a Spanish sentiments stamp set available! I'm so, so happy with these new collections.

In another great news: I am working on a brand new children's book (coloring book) for The Florida Children's Baptist Homes. This project is very dear to my heart and it is such a honor to be part of it. They publish this book as a fundraising tool to benefit all the children residents at the homes throughout the State of Florida. The new book will be available next Spring 2009.

I hope your autumn brings you lots of delight and joy as you welcome this new season of gratitude!

Paper Collections

Thank you so much for your overwhelming response (cards, e-mails, comments & calls) to the introduction of my designer paper collections for The Angel Company. I'm thrilled to be part of this great launching. The TAC catalog has over 30 pages of their gorgeous paper collections...its so cool to have my designs included in the catalog!

Per your request, here are a peak of the collections: (photos courtesy of TAC)

BellaFlor (R-2500) is a 12"x12" cardstock collection which includes tags, cardstock alphabets stickers and a large alphabet cardstock stickers.

Whimsy Blossoms (R-2502) 8" x 8" pad of 36 sheets (3 pages of each design)

This is so exciting and sureal for me! I have been a scrapbooker for over 10 years and it means so much to me to be able to have my art available for paper crafting!!!

Fantastic News to share with you!!

Finally! I can tell you about the cool things happening here at Whimsy and Stars Studio for the last year.

I'm so proud to announce the debut of the brand new The Angel Company Idea Book/Catalog which also features my brand new line of paper crafting products, including 3 lines of scrapbook papers and new rubberstamp designs exclusively designed for The Angel Company! Whoohoo! I'm so, so excited!! Thanks T-A-C!!

Last year I began creating a collection of paintings...a series of acrylic paintings of beautiful florals, cheery patterns  and pretty hues.

And this past Fall 2005 The Angel Company opened their doors to my art as a line of scrapbooking/paper crafting paper Collections! They have created 3 paper collections: Bella Flor, Whimsy Blossom and Vintage Holiday! (an addition to their amazing paper collections)

They are totally divine! As so girly! Here are some samples of some of my scrapbook pages featuring the "Bella Flor Collection" and the "whimsy Blossoms Collection" and some of my rubberstamps...(click for close up view) Check some samples here!

Just returned home from the Annual The Angel Company Convention (Seminar) in Kansas City. I have lots and lots to tell you, photos to share with you and new artwork to show you...Totally awesome news! hang in there...

I'm back!!!

A big THANK YOU!! to my dear & inspiring friend Mischelle Smith from The Angel Company hosting such fun Winter Retreat! Thank you Lori Betterley and Eva! You girls totally rock! What a cool time! I'm really proud to be part of TAC, they never stop to amaze me with their creativity!

We had three full days of rubber stamping & scrapbooking heaven in San Antonio, Texas. It's was refreshing to see all my TAC "angels" and learn great techniques/projects. In spite of my bad cold/flu I really had an awesome time.

On Friday, February 24 I spent the afternoon doing demonstrations on coloring with watercolor pencils, rubber stamping and working with patterned papers to create cards and scrapbook pages. (I'll post photos this week).

Part of the fun of these events is all the "trading & swapping" of hand-crafted/stamped gifts. My swap gift this year was this little altered lunchbox above. I used one of my brand new rubber stamp design for The Angel Company's Spring Catalog Supplement. Flowery Fun R-2019 as the main accent.

Here a close up from the stamped design on the lunchbox. I used watercolor pencils and added some little rhinestones as accents.

New Rubberstamp Stamps!

I'm so excited to finally (and officially) announce the release of three of my brand new rubberstamp sets designed for The Angel Company' Fall Supplement!! These Fall Supplement (along with other way cool TAC designs) are arriving to all the TAC demonstrators mailboxes this week. so they can share them with all of their customers and stamping friends! Today I received my sample sets from TAC (pressed in light blue rubber)...they are so cute! Can't wait to start stamping with them!

New Rubberstamp Designs!

For The Angel Company convention I created several handstamped greeting cards featuring my latest rubberstamp designs to be displayed during my demonstration. The new stamp sets include designs for each holiday and seasons.

Here a couple of my cards....

I stamped this card using my new "Sweet Pea" stamp set and painted with watercolor pencils.

I colored this design using chalks and a Tombow blender.

I'll be scanning more of my displays and the new stamp design sets...

Update

After two weeks of remodeling, installing tile in our house, cleaning & organizing....I finally feel a little relaxed! The end result it's awesome and was totally worth the headache.

During this crazy week something truly cheery came in the mail...a super cute gift from my dear friend Giao. Goodness! Such perfect timing! I desperately was needing something comforting and happy. I love the cute spring socks (which I'm wearing as I write to you), the adorable sandal frame and Giao's card. How thoughtful of you to send me a birthday gift when it was truly a big surprise in a time were I have been very busy and stressed! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

New Header!

Whoohoo! (imagine me spinning on my chair after working for two hours in Photoshop) It was about time I created a new header for this blog. I can't believe I managed to sit down and do it...mostly because I'm always juggling a bunch of important stuff all at once. (You girls know exactly what I mean!)

Great news! I have been invited (by The Angel Company) to teach about coloring and rubberstamping techniques during a very exciting four day workshop/rubberstamping retreat in Kansas City, USA the week of Feb. 16-19. (I'll post photos when I return)

PS: my project for the Month of Softies is going great...I'm working on an Alice in Wonderland doll (a first for me!) Will see how it goes, I'm keeping all of my fingers (and toes) crossed!
