Making a difference...

Mrbl1105_3

Today I read about this great opportunity to make a difference in the life of women across the world...

There is a group of more than 75 scrapbook designers & companies donating some cool scrapbooking layouts for a great cause. It's Women for Women International, check  Karen Russell's blog for more information. Please visit her blog and check all the cool designers participating. Karen is encouraging everyone to donate at least $1.00 (for the drawing), 100% of the proceeds are going directly to Women for Women international in the month of May.

What a fantastic opportunity to bless others!

Next Book on my reading list...

She_book

She from Jenica Wilkie & Kobi Yamada is my next book to read this Spring. I found this great book while browsing Amazon and then I found out that Heidi Swapp teaches a scrapbooking class at CKU using the same book. I found it very interesting and I look forward to read this little motivational book.

I love this quote from the book, it's my new quote stuck on my desk, my sketchbook and I printed it small to carry in my wallet. I just find it fascinating! A great motivator.

"She Designed a Life She Loved"

As I read today's post as Heidi's blog I totally agree with her words: "...living a life to remember... in a concious way... choosing how to live and in effect, what you will remember, and how you want to be remembered!  i think that it takes tremendous effort to live a concious life..."

I want to live my life like that.

cool project on my to do list

One of my favorite websites is The Farm Chicks. They have the cutest products and articles. This month they are featuring a great step-by-step sewing project (great for beginners like me!)

...now I just have to take the time to play with some cute fabrics!

And talking about favorites...one of my fav stores in town is Bath & Body Works. The kind of store that its hard to leave empty handed. I always find something pretty...

I like the Sweet Pea fragance! It smells divine!
